At my clinic we use the latest Itero digital scanners which mean no messy impressions and moulds of the teeth.
STARTING YOUR TREATMENT
From there, we create customised aligners, specific to your treatment plan; there is no guesswork when it comes to your teeth. Everyone’s mouth is different, so your aligners need to be too. Thanks to Invisalign SmartTrack material, we ensure the best, most comfortable fit for you. When you pick up your first set of aligners, I’ll take you through how to use them, and what you can expect.
FOLLOW YOUR PLAN
The length of your treatment plan depends on your requirements and will be discussed in your consultation. The average treatment is around 10-12 months, but could be anywhere from three months to two years. As your treatment progresses, you’ll need to replace your aligners every 1-2 weeks, and every 6-8 weeks we’ll catch up to review how your teeth are moving.
SMART DENTAL MONITORING
Having a dentist oversee your treatment is an important part of the process, and means we can pick up on any necessary adjustments as we need to. But, I know life gets busy. Which is why I also use Invisalign’s dental monitoring technology to make it easier for us to collaborate on your treatment. Using the dental monitoring app, you simply need to upload a selfie of your teeth every 7-10 days. If your teeth are on track, there’s no need to come into the clinic. This also means I work with patients based all around New Zealand, and even across the Tasman. If you’re heading overseas, your treatment can continue as planned.
THE FINISHING TOUCH
When I say I want you to leave with a smile you love, I mean it. As a cosmetic dentist, I can also help you with whitening and bonding to fix up any minor imperfections. It’s all included as part of your treatment plan.

- Refinement aligners. Once you have finished your aligners we will review the result achieved together and if improvements can be made, or if particular teeth have proven to be stubborn, we will make additional refinement aligners to complete the final movements needed.
Vivera Retainers
Vivera retainers are 30% stronger than competitor brands allowing for greater durability and better long-term retention. Vivera retainers are provided as a set of three so that you always have a spare should you lose one
Home Whitening.
Home whitening kit will be provided at the end of treatment to lighten your teeth and perfect the final result. Note that brand and whitening packaging may change from time to time or between practices

Feedback can also be given and questions asked via the DM app. Dental Monitoring allows for fewer clinic visits, better aligner fit and optimised aligner changes.
